Caviar Video Database
These video clips were recorded within the framework of the CAVIAR project in the domain of image-based recognition (city surveillance, ...).
Different scenarios of interest: people walking alone, meeting with others, window shopping, entering and exitting shops, fighting and passing out, leaving a package in a public place.
It is divided into two parts, the first one recorded in Grenoble and the second in Lisbon.
- Grenoble section: filmed with a wide angle camera lens in the entrance of labs, half-resolution PAL standard and MPEG2 compression. The file sizes are mostly between 6 and 12 MB, a few up to 21 MB.
- Lisbon section: filmed with a wide angle lens along and across the hallway in a shopping centre (two time synchronised videos, one view across and the other along the hallway), half-resolution PAL standard and MPEG2 compression. The MPEG file sizes are mostly between 6 and 12 MB, a few up to 21 MB.
The ground truth for these sequences was found by hand-labeling the images.
CAVIAR stands for 'Context Aware Vision using Image-based Active Recognition'.
