Canadian English - Telephony ASR Database

This is a Canadian English telephony database (100% mobile) containing 100,000 utterances. This is an extended SALA II database.

Each of the 1,000 speakers read 49 prompts per speaker (as specified by the SALA II consortium) and additional 50 prompts (similar content). The 99 prompts included:
- Digits
- Natural Numbers
- Letter strings
- Personal, place, and business names
- Confirmation items (yes, no + fuzzy)
- Generic Command and Control items
- Phonetically rich Sentences and Words
The database was recorded in a range of environments including in-car, home/office, roadside and other public places.

It was fully transcribed to SALA II/SpeechDAT type conventions.

A pronunciation lexicon containing all transcribed words was extracted from the database.
