Catalog Reference : ELRA-ST75
Canadian French - Telephony ASR Database
This is a Canadian French telephony database (100% mobile) containing 100,000 utterances. It is an extended SALA II database.
Each of the 1,000 speakers read 48 prompts (as specified by the SALA II consortium) and additional 52 prompts (similar content).
The 100 promts included:
- Digits
- Natural Numbers
- Letter strings
- Personal, place, and business names
- Confirmation items (yes, no + fuzzy)
- Generic Command and Control items
- Phonetically rich Sentences and Words
It was recorded in a range of environments including in-car, home/office, roadside and other public places.
The database was fully transcribed to SpeechDAT type conventions.
A pronunciation lexicon [SAMPA] containing all transcribed words was extracted from the database.
