Australian English - Telephony ASR Database (1)
This is an Australian English telephony database (50% mobile and 50% fixed line) containing 82,500 utterances. 500 speakers were recorded, including migrant representation (Asian, Middle Eastern and New Zealand accented English). The corpus is balanced over age and gender.
Each of the 500 speakers read 165 prompts (read speech) including:
- Digits
- Natural Numbers
- Letter strings
- Personal, place, and business names
- Confirmation items (yes, no + fuzzy)
- Generic Command and Control items
- Phonetically rich Sentences and Words
The corpus was recorded in moderately quiet environments like home or office, and then fully transcribed to SpeechDAT type conventions.
A pronunciation lexicon containing all transcribed words was extracted from this database.
