CMULM Chaplain Spoken Dialog Database

This database of conversational speech comprises 4.15 hours of speech, was recorded with close-talking microphone, 16bit, 16KHz. The data have been hand transcribed. Recorded as role-playing between US Army Chaplains as part of the Tongues Audio Voice Translation project.
As part of this work a number of role playing English-English dialogs we collected, with US Army Chaplains playing both sides. The recorded dat has been word level transcribed and was used for both speech recognition training and translated for use in EBMT translator.
