Geneva Multimodal Emotion Portrayals Corpus
The GEMEP corpus is a multimodal database of acted emotional utterances. It contains the simultaneous recordings of facial expressions, body movement and gestures (by three digital cameras) and speech (by four microphones).
More than 7,000 audio-video portrayals were recorded by 10 different actors (5 female / 5 male), representing 15 emotions, helped by a professional theatre director. Ratings were carried out in order to select a reduced number of representative samples (150).
It is a resource of great value to study acoustic properties of emotional speech, temporal relationships between speech, gestures and facial expressions, etc.
GEMEP stands for Geneva Multimodal Emotion Portrayals.
It was collected in the framework of the HUMAINE project.
