SACODEYL corpora
In the framework of the EU Socrates-Minerva project SACODEYL, multimodal corpora were collected in seven european languages (English, French, German, Italian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Spanish) among 13-18 years old pupils. Each corpus contains between 20 and 25 video interviews of about 10 minutes.
Discussion topics includes: home and family, present and past living, hobbies and interests, education, job experiences, plans for the future or open discussion.
Interviews are transcribed in XML format and annotated according to the kind of topic, grammatical and lexical properties, discourse markers, and others pedagogically relevant characteristics.
SACODEYL stands for "System-Aided Compilation and Open Distribution of European Youth Language". It was collected for language learning purposes.
