Speech Timing Archive and Corpus of English

This is a speech corpus of 4608 sentences recorded by six speakers of British English for speech timing research.

Sentences are designed to study durational effects in speech, and contain different test syllables, used in different lexical contexts. Label files are also provided with indications about accented words, pronunciation of test syllabes and prosodic realisation of sentences.

Speech waveform files were recorded at a sample rate of 16 kHz, using a Sennheiser MKH815T microphone in a recording studio.

EUSTACE stands for Edinburgh University Speech Timing Archive and Corpus of English.
