Japanese MULTEXT Prosodic Corpus
MULTEXT-J is the Japanese version of the MULTEXT (Multilingual Text Tools and Corpora) prosodic database. It contains 40 passages translated into Japanese from the English Eurom-1 speech corpus. It was recorded by 6 speakers (3 males, 3 females).
Speakers had to read each passage (5 to 6 sentences) in both read and spontaneous styles. In the spontaneous speech, they were asked to perform emotional attitudes according to the text.
It was recorded in an anechoic room and stored in the WAV format (16kHz, 16bit, Mono). The corpus contains about 3h37min of speech. It also includes signal from EGG electrodes, recorded simultaneously with the microphone signal. Text has been aligned with the signal at the phoneme level. It is labeled with segments, words, sentences and accent kernel marks.
The original MULTEXT Prosodic database (German, Italian, French, Spanish, English) is distributed through the ELRA catalogue
