Mexico City Speech Corpus
The Mexico City Speech corpus contains 10 recordings of spontaneous interviews and dialogues in which 5 women and 6 men participated. Speakers were aged of 18 to 60 years old. Each of them produced between 11 and 178 utterances.
The database contains a total of 870 utterances (6,256 syllables). Orthographic transcriptions are provided with prosodic annotations in the XML-format (intonational phrase, utterance types, paralinguistic phenomena, ...). Utterances having the best acoustic quality were segmented in syllables and transcribed phonetically.
This database was created in the same way as the Madrid Speech Corpus (see U-S0276 for a full description) in order to study prosodic differences between these two varieties of Spanish.
