CMU FAF (Facts and Fables) Database
It consists of 107 paragraphs (15,000 words) of single speaker monologues with interesting prosody. Basic of Aesop's fables and country descriptions in the CIA world fact book.
The CMU_FAF (Facts and Fables) database was constructed at the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. It is designed to provide paragraphs of speech from a single speaker to allow better investigation of prosody over sentences.
The database consists of selected text from the Project Gutenberg. Specifically Aesop's Fables and the CIA World Fact Book (2000). This has been recored by a single US Male Speaker, and automatically labeled.
