Corpora for Infant Cry
This is a database of infant cries. 200 infants were recorded in three different hospitals (various ages, weights, diseases, ...).
Cries are classified as follows: normal infant cries, normal infants with abnormal cries, extremely sick newborns, pre-term born cries and new born first cries.
Technical recording conditions:
Material: Cenix digital voice recorder, model VR-P2340, 64 MB memory.
Storage: imbedded flash memory.
Sampling rate: 12kHz, with PCM 16 bits.
Cry is the primary means of communication for infants. Its analysis could provide tools for medical diagnosis.
