August Corpus
The August database is a spontaneous computer-directed speech corpus containing records of 2,685 users (approximatively 50% men, 26% women and 24% children) from a conversational spoken dialogue system featuring an animated agent.
Conversations include facts about a 19th century Swedish author, August Strindberg (the agent's namesake), about Stockholm, the university and locations of restaurants and other facilities in the city.
The August Corpus contains 10,058 utterances, transcribed orthographically and labeled with some basic speaker characteristics. The average number of words per utterance is of four words and varied from a single word to twenty-two words.
