Multilingual Emotional Speech Database of North East India
The Multilingual Emotional Speech Database of North East India (ESDNEI) database contains recordings of 30 native speakers in 5 languages from Assam, India (Assamese, Bodo, Dimasa, Karbi and Mishing).
Each speaker (3 males and 3 females per language) were asked to read 140 phonetically balanced sentences, 20 for each simulated emotion (anger, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness, surprise and neutral). It results in 4200 utterances, recorded though a headphone microphone in a closed-room noise-free environment.
Such a database can be used for speech recognition, especially in the field of vocal emotion recognition.
