WOZ acoustic data collection for interactive TV
This is a multimodal database collected in the framework of Wizard of Oz experiments in three languages: English, German and Italian. The aim was to simulate a realistic scenario to test different types of signal processing algorithms regarding to the observed user behaviors.
It contains 12 sessions of about 10 minutes, in which three users and a supervisor had to interact with a simulated system. Audio and video data were recorded through a nested microphone array, four close-talk microphones worn by the participants, a table microphone positioned in front of them, and 3 video cameras (to help during the annotation process and to derive 3D reference positions for each participant). It also contains non-speech related acoustic events and room impulse response measurements.
Sessions have been transcribed and segmented at word level. Annotation includes tags for accoustic events (speaker noises and background noises).
