SCARE corpus

SCARE stands for Situated Corpus with Annotated Referring Expressions. This corpus consists of 15 dialogues for a total of 3 hours and 41 minutes of recordings.

It contains audio and video recordings from US English native speakers (19 male and 11 female) of 30 years old. For each session a pair of participants have to work through a treasure-hunt style task in a virtual world.

The SCARE corpus also contains time-aligned transcriptions, positional information from the virtual world's log, and state-change information on items that could be manipulated in the virtual world. Referring expressions in the corpus are annotated with the IDs of their virtual world referents.
