X-ray Film database for speech research

This corpus contains 25 high quality x-ray films (55 minutes). It consists of recordings of 5 English and 9 French speakers from Canada. Each speaker read about 30 phonetically contrastive sentences. These films show the best dynamic view of the entire vocal tract and the complex movements of the tongue.

This database had been collected in the late 60s and it was recently compiled on CAV laserdisk: video is saved in the MPEG format and DVD-Video format, and speech in the WAV format (44.1kHz, 16bit, Stereo).
