CHILDRU speech database
The CHILDRU speech database contains recordings from 21 children between 4 and 6 years old during interactions with adults. It comprises spontaneous speech, answers to questions, reading, poetry or retelling a tale, count and alphabet, play.
Some of the children had previously been recorded in the INFANTRU database (a speech database of children aged between 3 and 36 months).
Speech in the CHILDRU database is stored at the Windows PCM format, 22050 Hz, 16 bit. Phonetic transcription is provided, in addition to tags indicating child meaning of the words containing mistakes.
The database is currently under development. It should contain recordings from 50 children for each age (four years old, four and a half, five, five and a half, six, six and a half).
