Pour la science SMS Corpus
This French corpus contains 30,000 SMS which have been collected in Belgium within the framework of the project 'Faites don de vos SMS à la science'. The data were collected up to 2004 and was then normalised through transcription.
The 2,463 participants also answered a number of sociolinguistic questions related to their use of the SMS.
It is a valuable resource for studies on the characteristics of the SMS language and more generally for studies on new communication practices.
