The Sofie Treebank

This is a parallel treebank of North European languages: Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, German, Icelandic, Norwegian and Swedish.
The data is taken from the Norwegian original and the translations of the first two chapters of Jostein Gaarder's novel 'Sofies verden'.

There can be more than one set of analyses for some of the languages (Dependency Grammar and Phrase Structure Grammar).

Data available in May 2004: tree-representations of 50 sentences in six languages (two analyses for Danish, one for Norwegian, Swedish, English, German, and Estonian).

Sofie Parallel Treebank is a collaboration of the members of Nordic Treebank Network.
