Meteo Corpus (Report and Warning)
This resource contains two English-French parallel texts from the domain of meteorology; they were provided by the Canadian Meteorological Centre of Environment Canada:
- the Report bitext: weather forecasts for years 2002-2003, translation from English into French either by a human or by the METEO system.
- the Warning bitext: alerts for years 2000-2004 (omnibus warnings, violent storm warnings and tornado warnings), translation from English into French by the Canadian Translation Bureau.
The bitexts were split into test, development and train corpora.
Texts are encoded in XML. The alignement was performed automatically with Japa aligner.
