Louvain International Database of Spoken English Interlanguage
The LINDSEI is a corpus of spoken English from French mother tongue learners. It contains transcripts of 100,000 words from 50 interviews (30 female subjects, 20 male subjects). All subjects also answered a questionnaire giving details about their number of years of English learning, their proficiency in other languages, their age, sex, etc.
Its compilation began in 1995; it is currently expanded to include other language backgrounds: Japanese, Swedish, Bulgarian, Chinese and Spanish.
It is a counterpart of the ICLE for speech (the International Corpus of Learner English).
