SFU Review Corpus

This is a collection of review documents labeled with respect to their overall sentiment polarity (positive or negative). It contains 400 reviews in English and 400 in Spanish, concerning mainly movies, books and consumer products.

Classification is based on the positive / negative tags provided by the reviewer or by the number of stars given by them.

Each corpus (English / Spanish) is divided into eight categories, with 25 positive and 25 negative reviews in each category.

For the English part, categories are: books, cars, computers, cookware, hotels, movies, music, phones. For the Spanish part, it consists of: cars, hotels, washing machines, books, cell phones, music, computers, movies.

Reviews are also annotated (only for the English part) with RST relations at the sentence level and for appraisal (annotations of subjectivity types, according to J. Martin and P. White theory).

This resource is still under development.
