PsyCoL Hebrew Lexical Corpus
The PsyCoL Hebrew Lexical Corpus (PHLC) is a text database of 60,052,261 tokens in Hebrew. It contains texts collected from on-line newspapers, TV transcripts and medical forums (2b-bari, Arutz7, Haaretz, Infomed Medical Forum, Tapuz People Forums, TheMarke, Maariv, Ynet).
Texts have been converted to UTF-8 and tokenized, which results in 396,469 unique tokens. Token frequency for each one is also provided.
This database was collected in order to develop tools for lexical statistics in the area of psycholinguistic research, especially for semitic languages. The PsyCoL Maltese Lexical Corpus (U-W0328) was built on the same purpose.
