Lexeed Semantic Database of Japanese

Lexeed is a computational dictionary covering the most common words of the Japanese language. It is based on psycho-linguistic experiments where words from two existing dictionaries were presented to subjects who ranked them on a familiarity scale.

Machine readable dictionaries are of a great use for NLP research and development. Lexeed has for example already been used to build an ontology for Japanese.
