Chinese Character dictionary
The Chinese Character dictionary (CCDICT) contains about 52,000 entries. It consists of pronunciations for Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka (Kejia) and other Chinese languages (in the mostly used phonetic systems).
It includes:
- the UTF-8 representation of the character,
- the character codepoint in Chinese National Standard CNS11643-1993,
- the character codepoint in GB encoding,
- the character codepoint in Big5 encoding,
- radical/index (the number of the radical / the total number of strokes minus the number of strokes in the radical),
- the total number of strokes in the character,
- the Cangjie input code,
- the Four Corner Chinese input system code,
- the Hakka pronunciation in Hakka pinjim (jyutping),
- the Cantonese jyutping pronunciation,
- the Putonghua pronunciation in hanyu pinyin,
- the English definitions.
This dictionary is based on modern and classical lexicographical sources.
