PAROLE SIMPLE lexicons

The European project LE-PAROLE aimed at producing large, generic written language resources for European languages. In this framework were developed electronic lexicons for twelve languages: Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish. Each lexicon consists of 20,000 entries with morphological, syntactic and sometimes semantic informations. The linguistic specifications are based on Eagles recommendations and on the GENELEX model.

The goal of the SIMPLE project was to add semantic information to PAROLE lexicons.

These lexicons are distributed through the ELRA catalogue http://catalog.elra.info under reference L0031 (Dutch), L0032 (Greek), L0035 (Portuguese), L0042 (Spanish), L0043 (English), L0072 (Italian).
