GoiTaikei Lexicon for Japanese
The GoiTaikei is a kind of wordnet based on the Lexical Hierarchical System. It contains 300,000 Japanese words marked with part-of-speech and semantic classes.
It also includes detailed information on predicate structure usage for 6,000 Japanese predicates (valency, selectional restrictions on the arguments).
14,000 Japanese patterns are paired with their equivalents in English. The search for those patterns is made possible using Japanese or English vocabulary.
It was originally developed for the ALT-J/E Japanese-to-English machine translation system.
